You know, there’s been several themes I’ve been trying to work outta my head over the past year. I’d looove to do more themed shoots with kids and small animals (bunnies, chicks…), ponies, candles and separately, ballet themes. Like…in a forest…! If any of you are up for it, let me know soon! I’m working on a wedding post so stay tuned for that. Do I do weddings? Yes, I could – just that kids photography is my main focus for portraiture.

For now, here’s a tween + puppy combo. : ) I don’t usually do black & whites, but here’s one for ya.

Show Me Something I Couldn’t See ~ Mystic Children Photographer

What really happens behind a shoot? This stuff! I was just telling a friend last week that whenever a photograph is viewed, the subject’s personality or character should be evident. But what is hidden behind the photograph, is the dynamic interaction between the subject and the photographer. An ideal portrait reveals the spirit and inherent qualities of a person, but it also necessarily reflects the heart of the photographer.

So there….is the world through my lens. Welcome!

You Smile That Beautiful Smile ~ Mystic Children Photographer

Happy New Year! 2012 is gonna be exciting, I know it! Book your winter/spring photo shoot today – the remster is in session!

In the meantime….

I have been photographing this beautiful girl since she was 9. In fact, she insisted on being my first model. : ) The days have turned into months and in moments of time I become aware of her transformation into a charming and engaging young lady. Independence and individualism have captured this once wide-eyed wonder of a child….I prayerfully watch in hopeful expectation, up-close and from afar, just what new heights and depths await her. I love you, M. May your life shine with positive change, renewed hope, joy in the truth and a loving spirit.
